What does Chevrolet certified pre-owned cover at Group 1 Chevrolet Estero Bay?

Certified Chevrolets at Group 1 Chevrolet Estero Bay are sold under Chevrolet’s CarBravo program, which comes with a limited warranty, roadside assistance and courtesy transportation. The exact terms for each vehicle are in its CarBravo warranty booklet, which we can put in front of you before you buy.

Coverage depends on the car itself. CarBravo sorts vehicles into tiers by model year and mileage at sale, so two certified Chevrolets can carry different terms.

Certified Chevrolets at Group 1 Chevrolet Estero Bay include a limited warranty and roadside help

We offer certified used vehicles under Chevrolet’s CarBravo program. According to Chevrolet’s certified used vehicles page (Chevrolet, 2026), a CarBravo vehicle carries a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty, whichever comes first, in addition to any remaining original factory warranty.

Roadside help is spelled out in CarBravo’s Warranty Coverage and Owner’s Assistance Manual. It includes an emergency fuel delivery of up to $5.00 of fuel, and a rental car at $40 a day for up to 10 days when a covered mechanical breakdown requires one. Fuel and collision damage waivers are excluded from that rental allowance, along with optional insurance charges.

CarBravo’s disclaimers add three jump-starts per 30 days, two fuel deliveries of two gallons each per year, and unlimited flat tire service, all under 24-hour roadside assistance. The warranty covers what fails on the car, and roadside assistance covers the breakdown, so a buyer gets both protections on the same vehicle.

How long does the CarBravo limited warranty last on a certified Chevrolet?

The CarBravo limited warranty runs 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. The clock does not start at the sale. It starts when any remaining factory warranty expires, so the CarBravo term on a newer car begins after the factory coverage on it runs out.

Because the term follows the factory warranty, a buyer should check how much factory coverage is left on the specific car. That one check tells you when the CarBravo term will actually begin.

What does a CarBravo limited warranty leave out?

A CarBravo limited warranty leaves out damage from accidents, misuse and alteration, damage from outside causes, damage from skipped maintenance, and certain fuel problems. CarBravo’s Warranty Coverage and Owner’s Assistance Manual lists each exclusion.

Damage from collision, fire, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot, explosion or objects striking the vehicle is not covered. Misuse such as driving over curbs, overloading or racing is excluded, and so is altering or modifying the vehicle.

Outside causes are excluded too. Road salt and other materials used to control road conditions, salt from sea air, chemicals, tree sap, stones, hail, water or flood, earthquake, windstorm and lightning are not covered. Chemicals or sealants applied after manufacture are excluded as well.

Damage from failing to follow the recommended maintenance schedule is excluded. So is damage from using fuel, lubricants or refrigerants other than those the owner’s manual recommends. Poor-quality or contaminated fuel is excluded, including running a vehicle that requires premium fuel on gasoline.

The manual also excludes vehicles used for pulling a trailer, unless they were properly equipped beforehand for that purpose as the manufacturer recommends. Keeping the service schedule and the owner’s manual fluids in place is the part of the warranty a buyer controls.

What changed when GM moved certified Chevrolets to CarBravo?

GM announced that starting June 2, 2026, its U.S. Chevrolet, Buick and GMC certified used vehicle programs would come together under one platform, CarBravo. The change reached Chevrolet buyers on that date, and the terms now come from CarBravo’s tiers.

GM said the Bravo Tier covers vehicles up to 10 years old with fewer than 100,000 miles. It carries the same 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty, which begins after any remaining OEM warranty expires.

GM said the Budget Tier covers vehicles 10 to 15 years old with no more than 150,000 miles. Its coverage is a 30-day/1,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a much narrower term than the Bravo Tier’s.

What must a used Chevrolet pass to be sold as certified?

For CarBravo certification, the inspection form CarBravo published in 2024 calls for 126 points of inspection on vehicles under 10 model years old with fewer than 100,000 miles.

The same form sets tire and brake minimums. All four tires must have at least 5/32-inch tread across the tread plane, and they must match in brand, size, balance and alignment. Each wheel needs at least 5mm of front brake pad or shoe thickness and 3mm at the rear, measured with an appropriate tool.

Every CarBravo vehicle must come with a Vehicle History Report that shows no flood, salvage or frame damage, and it must have no open recalls. CarBravo’s certified used cars page adds that every vehicle comes with a free CARFAX Vehicle History Report (CarBravo, 2025).

These are the checks a car must clear before it is sold under the program. The inspection and the history report are the two steps a buyer can read about before deciding on a car.

FAQ

How do I confirm which warranty applies to the certified Chevrolet I am looking at?

CarBravo publishes its Warranty Coverage and Owner’s Assistance Manual as a PDF on its website (CarBravo, 2026). To check a specific car, have its vehicle identification number ready. The VIN is on the registration or title, or on the plate above the dashboard that you can see through the windshield.

What is the difference between CarBravo Certified and BravoBudget Certified?

CarBravo Certified covers approved vehicles under 10 model years old with fewer than 100,000 miles at sale. BravoBudget Certified takes approved vehicles that miss those limits but are 10 to 15 model years old, or have 100,000 to 150,000 miles at sale, or both (CarBravo, Warranty Coverage and Owner’s Assistance Manual). BravoBudget powertrain coverage starts on the contract date of the CarBravo sale.

Does the CarBravo warranty transfer if I sell the car?

Yes. CarBravo’s BravoCare page states that the standard limited warranty on a CarBravo vehicle passes to the next owner: “If the vehicle is sold, it is fully transferable to subsequent owners.” (CarBravo, BravoCare page)

Who services a certified Chevrolet at Group 1 Chevrolet Estero Bay?

How far will a CarBravo tow go?

Tows are unlimited under CarBravo’s 24-hour roadside assistance, and they go to the nearest branded dealer. The distance limit is 25 miles for most vehicles and 45 miles for EV and Cadillac vehicles. Newer model years can go up to 100 miles to a preferred dealer (CarBravo Disclaimers).
